TEACHER QUALITY: The State of California requires preschool teachers to have a minimum of 12 units (4 classes) in Early Childhood Development, ALL of our teachers have University (Bachelor’s) Degrees in Early Childhood Development.
STAFF-TO-STUDENT RATIO: The State of California requires a maximum ratio of 12-to-1. Our ratio is 6-to-1. Every Light of Christ preschool class has a dedicated Teacher’s Aide.

Preschool Accreditation, Licensing & Affiliations:
Light of Christ Lutheran Preschool is accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA). We are a School Ministry Partner in the Pacific Southwest District-LCMS and affiliated with the Lutheran Education Association. Our program is licensed by the California State Department of Social Services; License Number 300603211.

Now is the time to look for Fall preschool classes!

During November we begin making a list of families who have toured our preschool and shown interest in enrolling their child for Fall 2008. Your child’s priority for enrollment is determined by the date you tour our school and place your name on the wait list. In January we will contact all the families on the wait list to see if they would like a registration packet. Completed registration forms and the nonrefundable registration fee are due in February. By mid March we notify families of their enrollment status for September 2008.

Interested in a tour of Light of Christ Preschool?

School tours are conducted on Thursday and Friday mornings at 10 am with the Director. The tours last 15 to 20 minutes and give you an opportunity to observe the staff and classes in action. We feel that it is important for you to meet the staff and experience our school atmosphere as you decide on the best preschool for your child. Bring your children for the tour!
